    Open Closets and Pantries

    Our Open Pantries and Closets provide free, accessible resources to those in need in the Phoenix community. We work with local schools to make “stores” of clothes and food in the school that are open to anyone in the community free of charge.

    Volunteers

    our volunteers are the heart of everything we do, sorting clothes and food for hours and working at events. We celebrate and acknowledge the efforts of our volunteers, knowing that their time and energy are integral to our success.

    Our Delivery system is a great resource to get food, clothes, and other household necessities to families in need who are unable to travel to an open store. we are committed to providing high-quality services to those who need them most.

  • Although we don’t have an exact count for each month, we believe that Callahan Care has positively impacted approximately 2,500 individuals across all of our locations. This effort is more than just a distribution of necessities; it's a commitment to supporting and uplifting our community.

  • Callahan Care stocks its locations primarily through the generous donations of our school partners and businesses in the community. We also receive inventory through partnerships with local organizations and fundraising events, ensuring a steady supply of essential items for those in need.

  • At Callahan Care we are working towards implementing donation bins at all of our partner districts. To ensure dignity and respect for those we serve, we ask that donated clothing be free of stains or rips. For hygiene reasons, we can only accept undergarments that are new and still in their original packaging

  • At Callahan Care, we’ve been absolutely blown away by the support we’ve received through both our in-school clothing drives and personal clothing donations. Our best estimates guess that we received 10,000 clothing items in 2023 alone.
